These will be sparse because I only write poems when they come to me. AND this came to me yesterday on my lunch break when I saw this guy at the lake that made me wonder if I knew him way back when.
Bearded Stranger
Hello, bearded stranger
I don't come here often
But when I used to,
It was with someone
Who looked like you
That is, if he happened to grow
A beard
I imagined you might be him
And won't apologize for staring
Eyes as light
And fishing by the lake
He tried to teach me once
Did you try to teach me once?
Nah, you probably aren't him
But what would have happened
If I had called out
His name?

Like it! Those moments are strange, aren't they?
Nice :) I like it!
Very cool. I used to write poetry, but it's been a long time. You've inspired me to try again. :)
Thanks, everyone!
